Legal Information
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Iron Shield Exterior Cleaning. By booking a service with us you agree to these terms. If you have any questions please contact us before work begins.
1. Our Services
Iron Shield Exterior Cleaning provides professional exterior cleaning services including pressure washing, soft washing, roof treatment, gutter clearing, window cleaning and commercial exterior cleaning across South Wales.
All services are carried out by trained operatives using professional-grade equipment. We reserve the right to refuse a job or adjust our method if we assess that proceeding as initially quoted would risk damage to the property.
2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation. Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer at the time of enquiry. Where the actual condition of the property differs significantly from what was described, we reserve the right to revise the quote before work begins.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. We will always notify you of any pricing changes before proceeding with any work.
3. Bookings & Cancellations
Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we have agreed a date and time with the customer by phone, WhatsApp or email. We will send a confirmation text prior to the agreed appointment.
Cancellation by the Customer
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a call-out charge to cover travel and time allocation.
Cancellation by Iron Shield
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a booking due to severe weather conditions, equipment failure or other circumstances outside our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and rearrange at the earliest available date.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless a credit account has been agreed in advance for commercial clients. We accept bank transfer, cash and card payment on the day.
For commercial contracts, payment terms will be agreed at the time of contract and stated on each invoice. Late payment may result in suspension of scheduled services.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
5. Access & Preparation
The customer is responsible for ensuring that we have clear and safe access to all areas to be cleaned on the agreed date. This includes moving vehicles, garden furniture, planters and any other obstructions.
We require access to a mains water supply. Please ensure this is available on the day of the booking. Where water is not available, an additional charge may apply.
We are not responsible for any damage or delay caused by restricted access that was not communicated at the time of booking.
6. Our Liability
We carry full public liability insurance. In the unlikely event that damage is caused by our operatives during the course of a job, we will assess the situation fairly and deal with any valid claims promptly.
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage to surfaces, fixtures or fittings that was not visible or disclosed prior to the job
- Damage caused by surfaces or materials that are in a fragile, deteriorated or non-standard condition
- Water ingress through pre-existing cracks, gaps or failed seals that become apparent during cleaning
- Damage caused by the customer failing to disclose relevant information about the property prior to the job
- Any consequential or indirect losses arising from our services
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out on the affected job.
7. Results & Satisfaction
We take pride in delivering excellent results on every job. If you are not satisfied with the work carried out, please contact us within 48 hours of completion with details and photos of your concern.
We will assess the issue fairly and, where the concern is valid, return to rectify the work at no additional charge. We do not offer refunds for completed work but will always seek to resolve any genuine issues promptly.
Results can vary depending on the age, condition and material of the surface being cleaned. We will always provide an honest assessment of expected results at the quotation stage.
8. Health & Safety
Our operatives will not carry out work in conditions that they assess as unsafe. This includes but is not limited to extreme weather, unstable surfaces or restricted access that poses a risk to health and safety.
Customers and third parties should remain clear of the work area during cleaning operations, particularly during pressure washing and roof treatment work. We will advise you of any precautions required at the time of booking.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
